Elijah Be'er ben Shabbetai (Elijah Sabot)
(fl. 14th-15th cent)
   Italian physician. He taught at the University of Padua, and was in the service of several popes (Innocent VII, Martin V and Eugene IV) as well as Italian rulers. He was summoned to England in 1410 to attend on Henry IV.
